Abstract
This Master this is about the experimental, analog, and digital approach as a hybrid design process for architectural projects. The concept of protoarchitecture refers to a phase preceding any physically constructed architectural work. During this stage, architectural ideas take shape, hinting at the qualities of the final masterpiece without fully committing to definitive decisions. Protoarchitecture crystallizes the future while maintaining its independence from it. Its sole purpose is to remain heuristic. Inherent to the field of architecture, protoarchitecture nonetheless challenges conventional norms and is rarely considered autonomously. But who is she? To answer this question, this study aims to unearth protoarchitecture through a cross-examination of historical markers and architectural design considerations. The pivotal role of creative tools and methods are explored, emphasizing the intertwining processes of selected architectural practices. Finally, it delves into the interplay between analog and digital techniques in the post-digital era.
